How did you get the idea to build an IPTV network for entrepreneurs and business leaders?
Full BIO: Michael Yorba’s life reads like an adventure story, from 17 years as a professional cowboy on the high chaparral in the Nevada desert to that time he worked as a swordfish harpooner on the high seas off the California coast. Michael’s family lineage comes from a long line of true adventurers. His family came to America in 1760 to map and settle the new world for Spain. Their origin dates back to the 12th century in the town of Jorba near Barcelona. Born in Newport Beach, California, Michael went into business at age 19 as a commodity broker, earning license after license in areas such as private equity, options, and futures. His broad financial background includes previous positions in corporate finance, commodity futures, and securities trading. Among the various licenses he has held are: #4 Registered Options Principal, #7 General Securities Broker, #63 Ethics, #22 Direct Participation Programs, #3 Futures Broker, #30 Futures Branch Manager, and #39 Direct Participation Principal. Michael’s travels and adventures have taken him from Hollywood to San Francisco to Reno to Dallas, from digging ditches to becoming a media mogul. From the streets of Oakland to the penthouses and polo fields in Dallas, it’s a story of optimistic persistence in the face of certain defeat and failure. Over the years, Michael has been integrally involved in shaping new media for business, including building WFN1 as an IPTV (internet protocol television) network. He has developed, produced, and hosted one-hour talk shows including “Commodity Classics” and “The Traders Network.” These live, daily broadcasts on radio, TV, and the internet reach enthusiasts in 78 countries and define what audience-empowered, interactive financial programming looks like today.
